The Museum of Ocean City is located in downtown Ocean City, MD, at 217 S. Baltimore Ave, Ocean City, Maryland 28142.

Admission to the Museum of Ocean City is by donation only.

The Museum of Ocean City will be open Mondays and Tuesdays from 10:00 to 1:30 PM.

You have a few parking options when visiting the Museum of Ocean City.
PAID Parking: The Ocean Block of Dorchester Street or the Dorchester Lot (5 Dorchester Street) are the closest paid spots to the Museum of Ocean City. Paid parking can also be found on Dorchester street across from the Ocean City Downtown Corporation (108 Dorchester Street). This large gravel lot runs from Dorchester to Somerset and South Philadelphia to South Baltimore.
FREE Parking: The closest free parking is on the west side of Philadelphia Ave, about a block from the Museum of Ocean City. Free parking is also located on Talbot Street.

When visiting the Museum of Ocean City, you will see our newly restored 1910 former bank building. There will be an exhibit on the building's history, where you will learn about how it was once a grocery store and then the first bank in Ocean City.

The museum will offer book signings with local authors, preservation workshops, and other programs that celebrate Ocean City's cultural and natural history. Stay tuned for more information on specific programs for fall 2024.

Yes, in March 2025, we will be accepting field trips and group tours. We can accommodate groups of 50 people. The field trip rate is $2.00 per student, $5.00 for chaperones, and the group tour rate is $4.00 per person.

The museum's second floor serves as a research and artifact storage space. It holds much of the Museum Society's artifact collection and houses office space for museum staff.
Come May 2025, the second floor of the Museum will be open to the public by appointment only. You can make an appointment to use the research room and have access to our library, historical records, photographs, and postcards.

The first floor of the Museum (the exhibit hall) is fully handicap accessible. We will have a research desk available on the first floor for those who are unable to use the steps to access the second-floor research room. The first-floor research desk will be available by appointment.

The Ocean City Museum Society, a 501c3 Nonprofit, funds all exhibits, artifacts, events, and programs. In addition to grant funding, the Museum Society raised the funds necessary to restore the building. The Town of Ocean City owns the building and maintains the exterior.
