Worcester County History Week
Preserving the Past
Wednesday, October 13th, 2021
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
We’ve all got pre-smartphone memories tucked away in closets or stashed high on a never-seen shelf. Those keepsakes tend to have personal associations attached to them and end up staying tucked away because it can be hard to know what to do with them. Join Assistant Curator, Cara Downey, and Local History Librarian, Alec Stately, as they talk about different ways to preserve and store precious old photographs, papers, and keepsakes.
During this presentation, you’ll learn all about archival quality folders and plastic sleeves, and even how certain inks eat through paper over time. We’ll also discuss best practices and suggestions in storing and organizing your photos and paper for the long term.
We hope you will join us!
